With the start of calving we need to support the newborns so they get the best start possible
Coming into the new dairy season means we also need to prepare for calf rearing. At HFS we have multiple products to assist with the health of your stock including the calves. When it comes to scours there are different causes that require a different approach. We have products that can assist with these and three of the main ones are...
Products to assist with scours
To assist with scouring green, thin watery contents that tends to ‘gush out’. Due to this the animal will appear exhausted and weak because of the intensity. The calf with show signs of abdominal pain prior to and during the scours.
This is a general, broad spectrum product to deter scours from birth. Can be put in bulk milk for all calves or sprayed on nose for any individuals.
This is given to calves that develop scours due to overfeeding or when dehydration has become an issue. Often valuable to give calves when the scouring has been ongoing to help the recuperation process.
Based in the Waikato, our goal is to assist and support farmers in improving the health of their animals in a gentle, safe, effective, and environmentally-friendly manner.
To achieve this, our team has developed a range of BioGro-certified* organic products for farm animals and have delivered seminars, discussions, and introductory talks to farmers all over the country about homeopathy.
We provide farmers with a knowledgeable and friendly helpdesk and telephone support service.
Dairy farmers and a significant number of sheep and beef producers use homeopathy (exclusively or along with veterinary medicine) due to the success they have experienced using homeopathy to improve and maintain the health of their animals and the productivity of their farms.
All our products are certified as an input for organics and can be used in certified organic production
All HFS Limited livestock homeopathic products are manufactured and sold according to MPI guidelines and are certified by BioGro, New Zealand’s largest and best-known certifier for organic produce and products.
BioGro is officially recognised by the MPI as a third party agency for organic certification and is internationally accredited.
BioGro certification guarantees that a product is made without animal testing, genetic modification and the routine use of synthetic pesticides. It is the mark of a genuine organic product.
